Lifebook2015 Lesson 28
This week, in Lifebook, Tamara Laporte shared her colleged painting. She started with a magazine cut out of a face then collage around her…
Add the watercolor crayons and color in, with some washi tape placed in several spots
White paint, then brayer over the picture.. lightly
I added a bird to my girl in her hands and a flag banner on top. Then I painted the flag and bird and stars with white gesso, outlined with black sharpie and stabilo pencil
She is almost finished at this point but I add some more fine tip sharpie pen to accent and added more doodles..and a bit of white highlights..
so, here she is all finished up….
A little late, but linked with Sunday Sketches today here
Have a great week!
Love,
Jane

This is beautiful, Jane. I’m just in love with your work and wish we lived closer to be creative together! 🙂 I’ve never used washi tape before but I’ve heard many love working with it. You mention “braying”….what is that?
xx
Just found this comment from my spam box?! sorry about that!! Thank you Alexandra for your kind words, as always, such an encourager. I too, wish we lived closer. I would love to have that creative day together!! Maybe one day our paths will cross… Washi tape could cause a big addiction which I am not in yet, LOL, but I do have some that I use from time to time.. The Brayer, is a roller, that you put a bit of paint out and roll over to spread it out… A good way to cover up or make things not so bright or dark when you add white on top with the brayer. You can get them at Michaels or any art store… Have a great day!!
