Watercolor flowers
I tried a small water color today… just lightly sketched and went over with the colors.. I usually have a tendency to do water color with a heavy hand… I am learning that paper towels are your friend!! I like to blot off the color as it is wet and do several light layers instead of that heavy first layer.. LOL…. slow learner but i like this look much better…. then when dry, I lightly outlined with my extra fine tip black marker…
These little quick sketches are good therapy!

Your flowers are lovely. Paper towels are my best friend when I am using my watercolors. They really help me with my clouds. Have a wonderful week.

This piece is so dainty and delicate.Beautiful work.Totally get your point about being heavy handed with watercolors.I am pretty bad at it and often overwork it.Yours is perfect though.

Both your bigger flowers and the tiny ones are delicate and pretty – love the draping greenery.. and the shadowing on the table…. this is lovely. Aha… paper towels…yes only just learnt the same lesson!
