Canvas Flowers
Last week, I got together a friend at our friend`s home and we worked on some flower paintings. Our artist friend, had graciously agreed to a day of painting and inspiration. I have not done many flowers on canvas but wanted to practice so I could feel more comfortable with them. There is lots to learn about shading and light but I was able to finish a canvas wrapped smaller piece, about 11×14 inches, with these fun, bright colors.
I am usually matchy matchy with my art or room colors but have found several of my friends who display their art or art of others, to make it work all together. It makes for a fun and happy room to see such art and fun colors. So, I took down a few things in my kitchen and added my new flowers alongside a few other happy paintings. I now call it my happy wall!! I can even sit in my den and glance in the kitchen and see it. It does make me happy, LOL… but if you know me, you know it doesn`t take a whole lot to make me happy . It is the little things!!

Beautiful flowers! You can really see the textures, layered colors and stroke marks.
