Happy Mother`s Day
Mother`s day has rolled around again. This year is the 5th I have had without Mother. So many sweet memories flood my mind as I continue to miss her and think of her.
She always loved to make angels with her ceramics or hand work. So when I paint my angels, they remind me of her. I always gravitate toward angels when I am doing faces or girl bodies. So, this week was no different. I have started a few new ones, have added to a few old ones, and have started to get a little collection of these angels!!
I am so enjoying the distressed wood from an old barn that has been torn down. My friend has given me buckets of it and says there is more when I finish using these up. LOL.. that may be pretty soon. With summer here, I have a few extra days a week that I am planning to utilize well.
My first goal is to unclutter my house. Closet by closet and room by room. Then I will have me some paint time!! Until then.. here are a few that I got done this week, these angels of mine.
This first one, I call my Dolly Angel. She is in honor of all of us who like the big hair look!!
Here are some more, and a large redo one..
And a baby lamb for a sweet new baby, that I did on wrapped canvas with acrylic paints.

Pleased to be linked with http://bluechairdiary.blogspot.com/ today.
Have a Happy Mothers Day and a great new week!!
Love,
Jane

Thank you Christine!! Yes, it was a great Mothers Day weekend I hope you had a great one. I am going to try my best to follow up with my check list to clean. You can come back at the end of summer and see if I succeeded or not!! LOL!! have a great new week!!
I LOVE angels, top….big ones, little ones, and medium sized ones. I love to paint sweet little dresses on them. Yours are beautiful and I like that you are using the old barn wood. I have a friend that has just taken down a late 1800’s barn and the scrap is left for me to gather. I have not tried painting on it, but I really do need to give it a try. Your work is beautiful.
Genie! another angel lover!! I enjoy doing faces on them too. Some just look like they are happy without the features but mostly I like to at least put a faint idea of the eyes and nose… Thanks for coming to visit!! Have a great new week!
