This is the week before… the big move

This week was filled with “last times”  The boys stayed with me off and on and I was able to get some good “last” visits in before they leave for Dallas.  Heston went to swimming parties with his friends, for the last time…. He said good bye to friends, Rebecca said good bye to friends. They spent the night in their apartment for the last time, a few nights ago. We took Leif to his little school Friday, for the last time and he told his teachers good bye..

Last day of school for Leif

I wanted to be available to be with them for as much as I could this week..

It has been a good week, even with the last times thrown in there..

But I found a bit of time to get this huge painting started for my friend. She wanted one for her mountain home, a very large one, and told me about what she wanted. We got the inspiration from another one she had seen, kind of like this. So, I drew her off, and put that first layer of paint on for her background. Then added the darker colors. I still have to detail her, but here she is sitting on my desk, until I get my new easel set up. And the bird nest hair lady is waiting patiently on the table to be finished. She is almost finished, so close…. My grandson wasn`t so sure about her hair. LOL… he hasn`t seen a bird nest in hair in real life, so he questioned it.  I told him art was whatever you wanted it to be. Doesn`t have to be real. so I think the bird nest will stay..

Tomorrow at 2:00, I will be included in one of those “last times”, as I tell my grandsons and their mommie, Rebecca, good bye for now. Dallas is a long way, but we will be going real soon, I am sure!
