Yummy new discovery

Now, I am well aware that many have made similar things before, but for me, this was just an easy, yummy recipe, just when I needed it.I have several friends, who we are taking meals to. When you are trying to decide what to take, what the family may like, many recipes go through your mind. Simple ones are always appreciated.... with the main meal taken care of, I was thinking of something good for dessert.., which is the most important part sometimes. When you are sick, in my mind, that sweet taste, is always a treat... So, I am assuming others feel the same way....I was going through my pantry to look at things I had bought , as I pulled a few things out, I glanced at the back of a box of Ghirardelli brownies...   so, it began....It actually called for Ghirardelli cookie mix, which I substituted with Betty Crocker Salted Caramel cook mix, limited edition. I would image any cookie mix would work.Duo Cookie and Brownie Barscookie dough, 1 package cookie mix, 1 egg, 1/2 cup softened butterBrownie mix, 1/4 cup water, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1 eggHeat oven to 325, lightly grease 13x9 inch pan. In medium bowl, mix the cookie mix, egg and butter until dough forms and set aside. In a second bowl, stir together brownie mix , water, oil and egg until blended. Spread brownie mix on bottom of pan. Spread cookie dough on top of brownie batter. Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. When mine were finished cooking, I spread about a cup of chocolate chips on top while warm. And then.... when they were slice and put onto the plate to share, I managed to have a few crumbs left to sample and see if they were good. They passed the test....Happy Cooking!!!Love,Jane
