Fall Pumpkins

As temperatures begin to drop, the essence of autumn emerges, characterized by the warmth of crackling fireplaces, the aroma of apple cider and hot chocolate, the comfort of cherished sweaters, and the embrace of soft, cozy blankets. This autumn season, leading up to Thanksgiving serves as an opportune moment to express gratitude and reflect on our blessings.

I recently encountered a devotional in the book "Streams in the Desert" that centered on the theme of blessings. It is often the case that we discover our blessings in unexpected locations or circumstances. It is comforting to understand that our difficulties, irrespective of their form, act as divine messengers bringing blessings from God. Although some challenges may initially appear painful or detrimental, their deeper spiritual meaning frequently results in significant blessings.

Many of the most cherished blessings we have inherited are the fruit of sorrow or suffering. We should never forget that redemption, the greatest blessing of all, is the fruit of the world`s deepest sorrow.

“I journeyed a mile with pleasure, who spoke incessantly, yet I gained no wisdom from all of her chatter. In contrast, I walked a mile with sorrow, who remained silent, but oh the things I learned from her, when sorrow walked with me. “

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promise to her!” Luke 1:45

Canvas pallet knife pumpkins with “Blessed” written on the side

I have created some new pumpkins that are in my blessed series. I have some canvas pumpkin paintings in several colors and some smaller “wreath ornament” pumpkins. The backs are signed with “Blessed” written across the tops. These have been such fun to create, especially when adding a bit of my favorite color, pink!
